Rapidly growing Perth-based gym band Revo Fitness has announced it will open 11 new gyms across South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria before the end of the year in its most ambitious expansion plans to date.

Founded in 2012 by former Western Australia Sheffield Shield cricketer Andrew Holder, Revo Fitness offers access to pin and plate loaded machines, cardio equipment, free weights, functional training areas for high-intensity interval training (HIIT) circuits, and Pilates workouts.

Select gyms also have an additional section known as The Studio, which allows gym-goers to access on-demand reformer Pilates, Evolt 360 body scanners, massage chairs, and muscle therapy and recovery equipment.

The brand initially started with a single 200 square metre gym opening in Shenton Park, WA. By 2021, Revo Fitness opened its 10th location and had expanded into Victoria and New South Wales. A year later, the brand opened an additional 10 locations and launched its first location in SA.

The 11 new gyms, which will all include access to The Studio, bring Revo Fitness’ total gym additions in 2024 to 16 – rounding out its most significant expansion program, and growing its footprint to 52 gyms across Australia.

Revo Fitness founder and managing director Andrew Holder said that opening 11 new gyms in less than five months is a fantastic result for its most ambitious year of expansion since opening the first location in 2012.

“Revo’s simple, high-quality offering has redefined what an affordable gym membership looks like to Australians. We have fostered a strong connection between our brand and our members, and this continues to underpin our meteoric growth,” Holder said.

“In Western Australia, we are opening our largest gym south of the river in Rockingham, at an expansive 2,400 square metres, and another huge 2,260 square metre club coming to Mandurah. We’re also excited to expand even further into the northern corridor with gyms in Butler and Wanneroo, all opening before December.”

“In Victoria, we have two key sites opening in Langwarrin and Cranbourne, in response to the extraordinary success we have experienced in the South-Eastern corridor of Melbourne. We’re in for an exciting 2025 with 8 new locations already locked in for Victoria next year.”

The news comes three weeks after Revo Fitness announced it was reopening its location in the Adelaide beach-side suburb of Glenelg. The gym underwent a $3 million revamp and introduced an exclusive three-level membership that would give access to The Classroom – a space that offers members a variety of 24/7 virtual classes and workouts including strength training, restorative yoga, mat pilates, cardio, mobility sessions, and more.

Revo Fitness currently has seven locations in SA. The company noted it has no plans to slow its expansion into new and existing markets, with 100 gyms set to open by 2027.

“We see South Australia as a key focus and growth market for us with the exceptional response we’ve received from the community since first opening our doors here. We are committed to making quality fitness more accessible and the brand has really resonated with South Australians,” Holder said.

“We’re so excited to open the doors to our new gyms and welcome in new members in Parafield, Woodville, Happy Valley, Blakeview and Seaford Meadows.”
